The firsts had a good pre-season work-out at Rockfield Park this morning with a 3-2 win over TEK United.
There was no sign of the two-division gap between the two sides as an experimental Seaford line-up took a deserved lead courtesy of a brilliant volley by Paul Lydon in the first half. The advantage was short-lived, however, as Darragh Roche was unfortunate to head an equaliser into his own net just moments after the restart. TEK hit the front shortly after half time with a header from a whipped free-kick. But Roche made amends by heading another equaliser, this time at the right end of the pitch, before Mike O'Neill capped a superb individual display by slotting home the winner. Both Lydon and Frank Daly missed fine changes late on to extend the lead, but it was a very encouraging result and performance for the navy blues. Meanwhile the seconds were beaten 4-2 by Booterstown United in their latest pre-season outing, with Tony Bennett and Shane Lauritsch on the scoresheet.
