Goalkeeper Eoin English was the hero of the day, with a string of astonishing saves. Francis Mulhall, recalled to the first team after an absence of several years, smashed home the winning penalty in the 85th minute after Mark Sullivan and Rory O'Huiginn had earlier got on the scoresheet.
