The firsts recorded an ill-deserved win away at Greenhills Greenpark FC to get back to winning ways after the previous week's disappointment. Goalkeeper Eoin English was the hero of the day, with a string of astonishing saves. Francis Mulhall, recalled to the first team after an absence of several years, smashed home the winning penalty in the 85th minute after Mark Sullivan and Rory O'Huiginn had earlier got on the scoresheet.
It was a thoroughly miserable afternoon for the club, with both teams losing. The seconds were defeated 4-2 at Glasnevin FC despite two penalties from skipper Tommy Crichlow, whilst the firsts were pumped 5-0 by Greystones United in WIcklow.
The club's Last Man Standing fundraiser starts with the weekend's Premier League matches. Entry is €10. Send your first selection from these fixtures to SeafordLMS2016@gmail.com before noon on Saturday 6 February (and also mention which Seaford player will collect your tenner). One yellow card for an incorrect selection, and you're only allowed to pick one of Man U/Man City/Arsenal/Chelsea during the competition... full rules available on request.
The firsts secured three vital points away from home against promotion rivals Beggsboro AFC. Having fallen 2-0 behind in the opening quarter of the match, Seaford ran riot with six goals in 40 minutes of football, courtesy of Mark Sullivan (2), Rory O'Huiginn (2), Paul Lydon and Mark Cullen.
