Match Report: Templeogue United 0-2 Seaford Rock United
LSL Saturday Major 1

The march of the Penguins continued as Seaford recorded a fourth straight win, and another clean sheet, as this clash followed a similar pattern to the sides' previous meeting early in the campaign.
In both matches, Seaford needed to wait until the midpoint of the second half to make the breakthrough, before adding a second and squandering a host of other opportunities to make the scoreline more comfortable.
Dan Kennedy thought he had finally ended his luckless streak in front of goal inside five minutes, producing a cool finish after collecting a Paul Tansey shot, but he was adjudged offside. It was another quiet afternoon for Oisin Geoghegan, but he was forced into action by Robert Orr's rasping 25 yard drive, which he comfortably tipped over the bar.
Conor Geoghegan lofted a beautiful quick free-kick to put Kennedy in behind, but he was unable to nick the ball past keeper Jamie Austin,
Then the same combination combined to put Kennedy through again, and although this time h managed to evade Auston, Orr appeared from nowhere to make a fine saving tackle.
Seaford continued to press for the opener. Fionn Geoghegan released Kennedy on the wing, and he did brilliantly to find Chris Monk on the six-yard line, but this tie it was Niall Farrell who intervened with a brilliant block to prevent a certain goal.
Into the second half, and it seemed like only a matter of time before the Penguins made the breakthrough, as Killian Campion let got of a powerful strike from range which Austin deal with comfortably. And finally on 67 minutes the goal arrived, as Conor Geoghegan met an Al Kennedy with a nonchalant flicked header into the corner of Austin's net.
The hosts made substitutions to try and get back into the game, but Seaford continued to press for more goals. Ryan Scollard missed a sitter after Dan Kannedy laid him in, shortly after his introduction off the bench, and Richie Mulholland curled one inches wide. Then Jimmy Hussey won the ball high, beat a man and found himself through on goal, but his toe-poked finish was saved by Austin, before the keeper denied Owen Brayden a goal with his first touch of the season.
Chris Monk was unlucky not to convert a header from another Geoghegan delivery, before the outcome was finally put beyond doubt as the clock ticked past 90 minutes when Scollard robbed the ball from Austin and ran it into the unguarded net.
The defeat leaves Templeogue right on the brink of survival in Major 1, but the Penguins will increasingly look up the table.
