Stephen Robinson
Position: D C
Strong as an ox and fearless in the tackle, the big Northerner first made an impact in Tom Maher’s second team between 2007 and 2009, but soon graduated to the firsts, playing a vital role in the two consecutive promotions secured under Ronnie McLoughlin’s management, scoring a brilliantly taken goal in the crucial win over Dublin Bus in 2010, before winning the Player of the Year award a year later.
A centre half by trade, he frequently deputised in midfield in his early seasons, and was even used occasionally as a physical and direct right winger on occasion, and he made a big impression as an attacking right back for the seconds in the 2014/15 season.
