Stephen Faherty
Position: M RL
A tenacious and energetic winger with genuine goalscoring prowess, Stephen made a huge impact on the second team after being brought in by manager John Toomey.
He has since become a first team regular, occasionally at fullback but more often in the attacking third where his tireless running and ability to open onto either foot have made him a crucial source of goals and assists.
One of his standout performances was in the crucial match against Jobstown in April 2015, when he grabbed a brace including a spectacular solo effort to secure a crucial 3-1 win during the relegation battle.
Stephen took over as first team manager in October 2016, having struggled for some time with recurring injuries, and oversaw an immediate turnaround in the team's fortunes as they moved from the relegation zone to promotion contention.
