Match Report: Seaford Rock United 3-1 Swords Celtic
LSL Major 1 Saturday

Seaford suffered a scare against Swords Celtic but came back to secured the three points their performance merited at Rockfield Park.
The first half was largely played in the Swords half territory, as Seaford tried to use their pacey attack to get in behind the visitors' high line. Darragh Roche picked out Conor Geoghegan with a fine through-ball, but Geoghegan was unable to lob Aaron McCormack, and Geoghegan then fizzed a long-range volley just over. The Penguins dominated the game without creating too many clear-cut opportunity, and it remained scoreless at the break.
Both sides were guilty of glaring misses early in the second half as Adeola Abasse used his strength to hold off a defender, but fired wide with the goal at his mercy. Moments later Jamie McCaul and Ryan Scollard found themselves clean through with only McCormack to beat, but a bobble on the pitch intervened, and Scollard blazed over the empty net.
The hosts were punished immediately, as Tom McCarthy's cross was headed home from close range by Rob Bolton, as Seaford appealed in vain for offside.
But two quick goals from Penguins poacher McCaul turned the game on its head. First, he fired low into the net from the edge of the box, catching McCormack off guard with an early strike to the near post, and then he got on the end of Scollard's low cross to lift a clever finish into the top corner.
Now Seaford were in charge and keen to add to their lead. MJ TIerney laid in Conor Fennell, who thought he'd given McCormack the eyes only for the keeper to make an excellent fingertip save low to his right. Then Sam Browne met , Jimmy Hussey 's corner with a bullet header, but aimed it off-target.
And it was Geoghegan who made the points safe on 75, lobbing McCormack after Browne's back-heel flick put him through on goal.
