Match Report: Seaford Rock United 3-1 Palmerstown
LSL Saturday Major 1C

Seaford got their campaign in Major 1C off to a perfect start with a smash-and-grab win over Palmerstown courtesy of two late goals.
The visitors made a bright start to the game but in a a first half low on chances, it was Seaford who had the better of them.. Chris Monk fluffed his lines from close range, following a brilliant cross by Caoilte Purcell, but the prolific Scotsman made no mistake on 37 minutes, producing a composed finish into the top corner after a Robbie Murray delivery broke to him 15 yards out.
Striker Jamie McCaul twice went close to doubling the Penguins' lead early in the second half, first drawing a full length save from Jason Gibbons with a 20 yard volley before Monk laid him in on goal and he curled inches past the post
Instead, Parmo levelled on 53 minutes courtesy of a stunning goal from Adam Lambe who glided through midfield before unleashing an unstoppable shot into the top corner from 25 yards.
The visitors had the momentum now and looked more likely to go on and win it. Seaford were indebted to keeper Oisin Geoghegan for two saves in the space of a minute midway through the half, denying two Palmerstown substitutes with a top over the bar and then a brilliant point-blank save from a header.
At the other end, Aaron Clarke burst down the right and squared for Ben Kelly, whose effort from the edge of the box was blocked by TJ Costrove.
Palmerstown continued to press for a winner, with Geoghegan parrying a David Agbo free kick over the bar and then denying Lambe a second from a lob.
But it was to be Seaford's day, with two goals late on to seal the points. On 87 minutes, Ian Nolan followed in to convert after Gibbons had parried an Al Kennedy free-kick, and injury-time substitute Darragh Roche bagged with his first touch, following a sensational cross by Clarke.
There's no respite for Paulie Morris's men who travel to Kildare to face Newbridge Town on Monday evening.
