Match Report: Seaford Rock United 2-2 St Kevin's Boys
LSL Major 1 Saturday

A frustrating afternoon for Seaford as they failed to capitalise on a dominant start to the match and let two points out if their grasp against the struggling Saints.
It was a blistering start for the home side who were a goal up inside eight minutes, but in reality it could easily have been three by then.
First, Conor Geoghegan, met a Jimmy Hussey corner at the back post, but was unable to hit the target from point blank range, and then Ryan Scollard‘s cross-shot came at Dave Lewis just too fast, and the Englishman was unable to prod home from six yards.
But Lewis made no mistake shortly afterwards, after a sensational assist by Scollard, who produced an exquisite piece of skill to evade his man before whipping the ball inch-perfectly for Lewis to convert.
But Seaford were left shell-shocked after they twice conceded uncharacteristically to set pieces later in the first half.
First, some clever blocking allows Cathal McMahon free at the back post, and Sean Phillips was on hand to redirect his effort into the net.
And the game was turned on its head when Gavin Harney was allowed free to nod a corner home from close-range .
The Penguins rallied, with Lewis nodding to Geoghegan cross against the bar, before Hussey forced a smart, save from Gabriel Alilionu with a volley from the edge of the box.
The second half saw gradual improvement from the men in navy. Rob O'Shea teed up Jamie McCaul , who fired just off-target., with most of the game now being played in the Kevins half.
Being reduced to ten men didn’t affect Seaford’s dominance, particularly with some substitutions offering renewed vigour.
Lewis made a barnstorming run to bring the ball from one penalty box to the other , leaving a trail of tangerine shirts in his wake, but substitute Stephen Canavan was unable to capitalise by adding the finish.
But it was Canavan who did manage to grab an equaliser, finishing from close range after a brilliant 30-yard effort from Darragh Roche rebounded from the post as the keeper watched on helpless.
Seaford weren’t settling for a single point and continued to pour forward despite the numerical deficit. Chris Monk was unlucky not to score with a firm header from MJ TIerney's cross, and Geoghegan also went close , before the best opening of all foul to Dan Kennedy deep into injury time. Despite a brilliant, first touch to fashion the chance, Kennedy was unable to hit the back of the net, with the full-time whistle bringing frustration for both teams as the spoils were shared.
Seaford:, Oisin Geoghegan, Darragh Roche, MJ TIerney, Al Kennedy, Sam Browne, Conor Geoghegan, Jimmy Hussey (Dan Kennedy, 77), Dave Lewis, Rob O'Shea (Chris Monk, 77), Ryan Scollard Jamie McCaul (Stephen Canavan, 59)
St Kevin's Boys: Gabirel Alilionu, Evan Wilkes, Sam McMahon, Declan Mack, Cathaln McMahon, Dillon McCann, Gavin Harney, (Keith Rooney) Liam Mulcahy, Mehmet Sirin Zeyrek (Keith Rooney), Sean Phillips, Pierce Hughes
