Match Report: Seaford 3-1 Liffey Wanderers
Lanigan Cup

Seaford moved into the semi-finals of the Lanigan Cup with a well deserved home win against their divisional rivals Liffey Wanderers.
The Penguins made a blistering start and opened the scoring within a minute, as Brian Murphy's long ball over the top wasn't dealt with the visiting defence, and Jack Keegan did brilliantly to smash the ball into the far corner of the net.
Liffeys had their chances to level it during the first half, with Daniel O'Connor's dangerous header deflecting kindly for keeper Oisin Geoghegan , and striker Jake Ellis spurned a glorious chance when he got through one-on-one.
The hosts came out strongly after half time, and Ryan Scollard saw his shot deflected wide Peter Bardon pass, but had a big let off at the other end when Emmanuel Ogunsiakan fluffed his lines from a Kenneth Glennon cross.
It was Seaford who were making most of the running, and Rob O'Shea, had a great chance to to double their advantage when Scollard and Matteo la Placa hassled an error from the Liffeys defence but with keeper Eoin Harrington stranded on the edge of his box, O'Shea was unable to hit the target with his 35-yard effort.
The visitors maintained a threat courtesy of Darragh Ryan's huge throw-ins, and Craig Conlon did well to clear on the goalline and maintain parity., before Scollard made it 2-0 with ten to play, running on to a Jimmy Hussey and lobbing Harrington.
Liffeys pulled one immediately through Ellis, the former Bray Wanderers man firing low into the corner from the edge of the box, but it wasn't long before Scollard got in again, forcing Lee Harrison into a last-ditch tackle, and the centre back was dismissed for a professional foul. Scollard smashed home the resulting free kick to secure a fourth straight win for Seaford and their safe passage into the semis.
