Match Report: Seaford Rock United 3-1 Leixlip United
LSL Saturday Major 1B

Seaford made it three consecutive league victories with a comfortable homw win over Leixlip United.
It was a thoroughly dominant display from the home side, who might have enjoyed a greater margin of victory but for a difficult surface at Rockfield Park which hampered attacking football. The best early chances fell to Garrett Connolly, who hit the bar from close range on 9 minutes after Leixlip keeper Dylan Caulfield had fumbled MJ Tierney's cross into his path, and later burst through two desperate tackles only for Caulfield to tip his shot around the post.
At the other end, Mordy Kingindila curled just wide after cutting in from the right past Paul Tansey, but it was Seaford who deservedly hit the front on 32 minutes, when Tierney guided a 20 yard shot inside hte near post.
Tierney thought he'd scored a second minutes later when his 30 yard free kick rocketed into the net, but it was disallowed for being indirect. He didn't have to wait long for another go though, and on 40 minutes prodcued an even more stunning set piece, whipping the ball into the net via the angle of post and crossbar. as Caulfield stood motionless.
The outcome was put beyond doubt early in the second half when Chris Monk's scorpion-flick diverted Fionn Lawlor's pass into the path of Kohei Masaki, captain for the day on his farewell appearance, and the Japanese winger made no mistake.
Leixlip pulled one through substitute Benny Adeyemi but they never threatened to close the gap further and it was Seaford who looked more likely to add to the scoring, as Darragh Connolly was denied by a brilliant Caulfield save, before Masaki was inches from dream sign-off in injury time, his back-heel just missing the far post from Collie Barrett's cross.
