Seaford Rock United 1-1 Hyde Park
Seaford's seconds recovered from a goal down to take a point, but might had all three against Hyde Park.
The first half was characterised by plenty of attacking possession for the home side, but few clearcut chances, whereas the visitors always posed a threat on the break. Hyde took the lead on 19 minutes courtesy of John Bannon's own goal after a move down Hyde's right wing. Shane Lauritsch ought to have levelled the scores after 35 when Darragh Roche burst down the firth wing to pick him out ten yards from goal, but Lauritsch miscued his shot wide with the goal at his mercy.
The home side were indebted to keeper Dylan O'Reilly, who made brilliant save late in the half to deny Hyde's number six, but after half time, Hyde wilted and Seaford began to take control. Centre back Stephen Kelly moved into central midfield and began to have a bigger impact on the game, and it was he who netted the equaliser on 73 minutes, flicking Amer Herenda's long throw into the net.
Kelly almost grabbed the winner after a brilliant surging run from midfield,, but couldn't hit the target, and it was Seaford who had the better of the late chances, but ultimately they had to settle for a single point.
Seaford: Dylan O'Reilly; Amer Herenda, Steve Kane, Stephen Kelly, John Bannon; Barry Kirwan (Matt Tappin, 70), Alan Brennan, Darragh Roche, Donal Howley; Shane Laurtisch (Chris Sastre, 60), Daire Ralph (Conor Fitzpatrick 83)
