Match Report: Seaford 1-1 Finglas United
LSL Saturday Major 1

Seaford came within minutes of taking a huge scalp against champions Finglas - and of securing their own safety in Major 1 - but were cruelly denied by a late equaliser after a valiant effort.
It was a threadbare Penguins squad missing ten regular squad members, and with all three registered goalkeepers ruled out through injury, the stalwart Sam Browne donned the gloves to make his first appearance in almost a year.
The Boogler put in a terrific performance against a Finglas side who had romped the division, but the dogged determination of the ten men in front of him was key to the outcome.
The visitors had the first look on 18 when Lewis Caffrey bounced a wall pass off Glen Lynch but aimed his shot inches wide.
And it was Seaford who took a shock lead through Finn O'Neill, the teenager making only his second start finding the corner of the net after great work from Jack Keegan.
It was a rearguard action for the men in yellow from that point, as Finglas fought back fiercely to salvage their unbeaten campaign in its final match.
Robert Mc Gearty was guilty of blazing over from a promising position and Browne got down smartly to keep out Keith Williams's effort , while Darragh Roche, Al Kennedy and others threw their bodies in the path of countless more.
At the other end, Michael Akingbade plugged a lone furrow up top but was largely starved of service. The closest either side came to a second half goal was when Kennedy met Rob O'Shea's corner with a bullet header that was just off target.
They was until United leveled on 83, as substitute Gavin Doyle arrived at the back post to slot past the helpless Browne.
The stalemate allowed the visitors to unveil their ”Invincibles” banner at the final whistle, but leaves Seaford with some more work to do in order to ensure safety.
