Match Report: Pegasus 0-4 Seaford Rock United
LSL Sat Major 1A
Seaford ended their campaign by dominating Pegasus St James from start to finish at the VEC.
The penguins controlled the first half with high proposition of possession, with Fionn Lawlor breaking forward unopposed from fullback only to shoot just over, before Ryan Scollard was also just off target after being laid on by Darragh Connolly.
But Scollard made no mistake on 20 minutes, slotting past Steve Horgan from a stylish Robbie Creevy assist, and it was two shortly before half time when Darragh Connolly found his brother Garrett who made no mistake.
Al Kennedy clipped the bar with a free kick just after the break but it wasn’t long before Scollard made it 3-0, firing into the empty net after Horgan had parried Eoin Mahon’s cross into his path.
Colin Barrett added a fourth late on after great work from Scollard on the wing, but another 20-plus goals would have been needed to overhaul Kilnamanagh in the promotion spots so the Penguins settle for a creditable fourth place finish in their first season in Major 1A.
Seaford: Barry Ensor, Eoin Mahon , Fionn Lawlor , Cian McGuinness, Al Kennedy (Owen Brayden, 61), Fionn Geoghegan (Stephen Kelly, 76) Robbie Creevy, Paul Tansey (Jack Burke, 61), Garrett Connolly, Darragh Connolly, (Colin Barrett, 76), Ryan Scollard
