Paul McPhillips
Position: D C
A fearless centre half, combining natural athleticism with a superb ability to read the game, to say nothing of his fine ability on the ball, only recurring injury problems have prevented Paul from being one of Seaford’s modern greats.
Paul was key member of the side that won promotion in 2009/10 under Ronnie McLoughlin, scoring a memorable goal away to Tymon Rovers when he ran almost the entire length of the field, exchanging passes with Mark Hanratty before slotting past the keeper at the second attempt.
He managed just a couple of substitute appearances for the first team, such were his fitness issues. Paul finally got a run of games in the early part of the 2014/15 season, but his impressive run of form was yet again interrupted by an injury away to Ardmore Rovers, requiring surgery.
