Seaford Premiers will start life in LSL Saturday Premier division on Saturday with a home fixture against Montpelier, kicking off at 12.00pm in Rockfield Park.
Paulie Morris's side have nominally been promoted a division during the off-season, but in essence it's the same section in which they finished mid-table during 2022/23. That means they'll renew rivalries with Saturday's visitors, although the game is unlikely to witness as much drama as their previous clash in Blackrock. On that occasion, Collie Barrett netted a quick first-half hat-trick to put the Penguins in a commending position, but they collapsed to trail 3-4 early in the second half, only for another astonishing late turnaround as Cian McCabe smashed home a last-gasp winner to secure the first of what would be three straight home wins for Seaford. In the reverse league match, MP came out on top by 2-1, but Seaford got their own back when the sides met for a third time in the Superleague competition, as a Stephen Canavan brace helped the Penguins to a 4-2 victory.
