Major move top ahead of Cup clashes

The Major side signed off on league play for the rest of the month with a third win from four to stay level with St Kevin's Boys at the top of Major 1B. Oli Wright scored the only goal on his full debut for the club to secure a 1-0 win over Dunboyne AFC in a tight game at Rockfield Park. Read the full match report here. 

There are no more league fixtures during September, with three consecutive cup ties in the coming weeks, all away from home. Next up is a trip to Tolka Rovers in the Frank Ryan Cup first round, before we face another tough challenge against Bangor Celtic in the LFA Junior Cup, before a trip south to face Wicklow Rovers in the FAI Junior Cup.

Meanwhile, the Premier team's difficult start to the season continued with a 3-0 defeat away at Tymon Bawn, but with a large number of players due to become available in the coming weeks, they will be confident of a quick upturn in form.
