Both teams are, unusually, at home this weekend in back-to-back fixtures at Rockfield Park. The firsts continue their campaign in the LFA Junior Cup with a 12.00pm kick-off against Beggsboro. Having laboured to a 3-1 victory at Confey, from two divisions down, in the opening round, the visitors are likely to represent a sterner test for John Downes side. On the face of it, there should be little to choose between the sides, who were separated by just two points at the end of 2016/17, although Beggsboro have made a stronger start to the new seasonin Major 1B, with both sides have had very similar fixtures lists thus far, and both suffering their only defeat against Rush Athletic. Last season, the points were shared between the teams, with Beggsboro recording a comfortable win during Seaford's difficult early part of the campaign, with Seaford taking the points when the sides met again a few weeks later. Later in the afternoon, the seconds host Earl Celtic in Division 3, with a 2.30pm kick off. Tony Bennett's men will be hoping to bounce back after a difficult run of results which has seen four winless games after recording back-to-back victories to start the season. The squad contains a couple of recent signings hoping to make their debuts, and also sees returns to action for Jim Nolan, after his recovery from a broken nose, and former first team player of the year Mark Sullivan following his own long recuperation from injury..
