The Majors start lift in the second tier of the LSL's Saturday section with a home match against Templeogue United.
The past eleven months have seen a couple of high-profile departures, as key players moved away from the area, but the bulk of the squad which earned a second straight promotion has been retained, and there have been some exciting new additions who are expected to make their debut this weekend. The visitors have already started their season, losing 0-1 to a very youthful Portmarnock side a week previously. Meanwhile, Paulie Morris's Premier side will travel to Esker Celtic aiming to secure their first points of the season, after an unlucky defeat against Terenure College in the curtain-raiser.
309 days after their last competitive outing, Seaford's Premiers finally return to league action with a home match to start the 2021/22 campaign.
After rallying to an impressive fourth-placed finish during the previous season, the hosts will be aiming to go at least one spot higher this time around and secure promotion. Now under the management of Paulie Morris, the side remained unbeaten throughout pre-season , having retained the core of the existing panel and added a number of impressive newcomers, as well several top players from the past who are set to make long-awaited comebacks this weekend. It's a first competitive meeting in recent seasons with Nure, who suffered relegation from the Saturday Premier division the last time around. Kick off is 12.00pm at Rockfield Park in Blackrock. |
