Mike Frawley
Position: GK
Nicknamed "the Bishop" or "DJ Full Forward", Mike was part of a golden age of Seaford keepers in the early part of this decade, when both he and Ian MacHugh were both amongst the finest stoppers in junior soccer in Dublin.
With a great command of his area, peerless reflexes and astonishing agility, the affable Clare man first broke through in Alan Zambra’s time as first team manager. Returning after spending a year travelling, he became a key part of Ronnie McLoughlin’s side that earned two consecutive promotions to Major 1. Although he lost the starting jersey to MacHugh, Mike continued to excel for the seconds until suffering a serious back injury in match against Ballybrack late in the 2012/13 season, which sidelined him for more than a year.
He made a brilliant comeback against Rathmichael Shankill early in the 2014/15 season, capping a confident performance with a late one-on-one save to secure a 1-1 draw.
And he showed that he hadn't lost a step when recalled as an emergency signing in late 2021, capping a typically composed display with a brilliant late stop to secure a point for the Premiers against Balbriggan.
