Mate Salacan
Position: M C
A busy, ball-playing central midfielder with a classy touch and fine range of passing, Mate made his Seaford debut for the Premiers in their win over Rivervalley Rangers. His first Seaford goal was a stunning free-kick in the Premiers' 2021/22 opener against Terenure College.
He returned to the club for the COVID-delayed 2021/22 season and established himself as a kay performer for Paulie Morris's Premier team, as well as getting the call-up for the Major side.
Mate's left-footed deliveries were an especially potent weapon for the Prems, and he was voted Player of the Year at the end of the campaign.
He was once again a key man for the Prems during their successful promotion campaign in 2022/23, scoring a brilliant free kick with the last kick of the ball away at Balbriggan, and setting up numerous other vital goals.
Mate reached the 30-match mark for the season in 2023/24, once again showing his prowess from dead-ball situations, including a stunning effort in the Premiers' brilliant win over Kilmore.
