Match Report: Kilnamanagh 2-0 Seaford Rock United
LSL Saturday Major 1B

Seaford were punished for an uninspired display and left Ned Kelly Park empty handed after well taken goals around the mid-point of each half by Kilnamanagh.
It wasn't a game for purists, with few chances and both teams mainly deploying direct balls to try to get behind the opposition defence. For most of the first half, the hosts were restricted to tame efforts from ranged, whilst Seaford struggled to find any finesse with their final ball.
The only moment of real quality arrived after 20 minutes, when Paul Ellis ran on to David Nolan's flick on and saw off two defenders before slotting past Luke Ginnell to give Kilnamanagh the lead.
The closese Seaford game in the opening period was late in the half when Kosei Masaki put strike partner Peter Tierney clean through, but keeper Eoin Dohenthy sped off his line to block with his legs.
Tierney was denied by the Kilnamanagh stopper again early in the second half when Shane Lauritsch found him with a fine cross, only for Tierney to see his carefully guided header clawed away from the corner of the net. Otherwise, the visitors struggled for much of the second half, pinned back in their own half, and they paid the price on 67 minutes when Kilnamanagh doubled their lead with a quick break downfield. Impressive winger David O'Reilly recovered the ball at the back post and chipped a cross for Rpbert Collins to hook an overhead kick into the net from two yards out.
Seaford enjoyed plenty of the ball from that point, but mostly in innocuous areas, and they couldn't catch a break in the opposition penalty area. First Darragh Connolly slalomed past two challenges, but neither he nor Conan Murphy could get a shot away, and then when Andy Roe managed to create a golden opportunity with a whipped cross, Masaki couldn't hit the target from close range.
Captain Fionn Lawlor was pushed upfield as the visitors desperately sought a way back into the game, and he had the last chance of the day after a neat through-ball from Jim Nolan and a dummy from Masaki, but once again there was no way past the Kilnamanagh goalie and the final whistle soon confirmed a result that leaves Seaford in the relegation zone in Major 1B.
