Match Report: Kilnamanagh 0-2 Seaford
LSL Saturday Major 1

Another vital win for the Penguins in their battle to avoid relegation, as they rode their luck in the first half but then produced some great football in the second to bring all three points home from Ned Kelly Park.
Kilnamanagh got on the front foot in the early stages and largely played the game in the Seaford half. The Penguins' rearguard largely held firm but the hosts ought to have bagged hte opener when Luke O'Reilly flicked a corner into the path of David McBride arriving at the back post, but somehow he failed to convert with the goal at his mercy.
Liam O'Reilly also went close for the Rockets, smashing against the outside of the post from a tight angle, but two Jack Keegan goals in first-half stoppage time put Seaford seat. First, Keegan converted a penalty he had won himself after good work from Conor Fennell, and then straight from the restart he showed great tenacity to dispossess a Kilnamanagh defender before running in on goal, rounding Warren Mallon and slotting him.
If Seaford had been second best in the first half, it was a different story after the break, as it was the Penguins who made the running, and they left scratching their head as to how they didn't add to their advantage.
Greg Hughes smashed a low shot against the foot of the post, with Rob O'Shea blazing over from the rebound, before Keegan went close to completing his second hat-trick in five days with a stunning volleyed effort that fizzed past the upright, and then O'Shea forced an astonishing save from Mallon, smashing a volley at goal from a Niall Holleran flick-on, which Mallon somehow managed to divert onto the woodwork.
At the other end, Seaford debutant John McGuinness had had a quiet second half but did well to rush off his line and block from Anto Hanevey and then in the 92nd minute he had is own contender for save of the season, racing back on to his goalline to somehow get a fingertip Shane Maguire's lob and clow it over the crossbar.
In the end it was a well deserved clean sheet for the Seaford backline and three big points to kick off their run of five matches in nine days.
