Francis Mulhall
Position: ST
A veteran player with well over a decade of experience, Franner has an abundance of footballing ability and has fulfilled a number of roles in the team over the years, particularly as a winger, central midfielder and more recently up front, where he has been a vital component in the more successful second team campaigns in recent seasons. Energetic and determined off the ball, he is strong in the air and offers a real goal threat.
In the 2015/16 season, he reverted to a centre forward role with the seconds, showcasing his tenacity leading the line and his clinical finishing, and his form was rewarded with a recall for the firsts for the match away at Greenhills, and he duly lashed home the winning penalty with virtually his first kick of the ball.
He was in superb form for the seconds during the 2016/17 season, and was back in the first team reckoning towards the end of the campaign with a couple of excellent displays against Leixlip United and St James's Gate, providing three goals and an assist.
Returning the club in 2019/20 following a brief retirement, he became a key man for the Premiers, reaching 50 goals for the club with a strike away at Transport.
In the 2022/23 season, he continued to be a regular for the Premiers, bringing up 200 club appearances early in the campaign, as well as scoring what proved to be the crucial goal in their win over Baldoyle.
