Darragh Roche
Position: D R
An effervescent personality on and off the pitch, the former Pegasus man initially joined the club in 2012 and played as winger in a very strong seconds team under Paddy Hughes, before making his first team debut away at Portlaoise.
Nowadays a quick and energetic fullback, Darragh returned to Seaford for a brief spell in 2016 before making a full-time comeback in late 2018, coming off the bench for the Premiers in their win at Parkvale and going on to become a regular in Eoin Dunne's side during their strong late-season run.
The 2019/20 season saw Darragh end a seven-year goal drought with a strike away at DAA before his strong form earned him a call-up to the Majors team following the COVID pandemic, and putting in a series of impressive performances during the promotion run-in..
But it was in 2021/22 when Darragh really made his name at the club, establishing himself as one of the Majors' key ,men - rock solid in defence and relentlessly vigorous in attack - and it was only fitting that he score the most dramatic goal of the campaign, sparking jubilation with his 96th minute equaliser against Ballymun United.
Early in the 2022/23 season, he was a clutch hero once again, producing a magnificent 94th minute assist to help rescue a draw away at Railway Union, and he maintained his brilliant form throughout the rest of the campaign as the Majors recorded another midtable finish.
In 2023/24 Roche bagged a rare goal with his first touch off the bench in the Premiers' early season win over Palmerstown and delivered perhaps his best season yet on the right side of the Majors defence.
