Chris Monk
Position: M RC
A supremely fit and tenacious Scotsman, Chris joined the club midway though the 2016/17 season, marking his debut for the seconds by netting a superb volley in the away win at Ratoath Harps, and quickly establishing himself in the first team set-up.
He scored his first ever first team goal in a Leinster Junior Cup win at Confey FC in September 2017, during a fine run of form in the first half of the 2017/18 season that saw him emerge as a key player for the first team..
But it was during the 2019/20 season that he really hit his stride. He netted a hat-trick in the Leinster Junior Cup at Newbridge when wearing the captain's armband for the first time as part of an extraordinary goal streak that saw him smash the club's single-season record for a midfielder., eventually netting 16 for the season and earning himself the Player of the Year award.
Subsequent season may have been less prolific for the Monk, but he remained a fixture in the Majors reckoning, and bagged a pair of towering headers late in the 2022/23 season against Old County and St Kevins.
