Caoimhin Fahy
Position: D C
An experienced defensive sweeper, the Clare man is a brilliantly effective tackler in one-on-one situations, strong in the air and has brilliantly quick feet. He made a big impact in his debut season, with a particularly memorable performance in midfield against Cabinteely standing out, and has a fixture in the squad ever since.
He is not renowned for making an impact in the attacking third, however, and his only goal for the club, a heavily deflected strike against Lakelands in 2013, was later deemed to have been an own goal by the Dubious Goals panel.
After an absence of four seasons, he returned to the club in 2019, with an impressive comeback performance as the Premiers won against Pegasus St James's, and continued to deliver man-of-the-match performances during the subsequent COVID-delayed campaign.
