Match Report: Blackrock College 1-4 Seaford
LSL Major 1

Seaford produced an excellent second-half display to claim all three points in the Rockfield derby.
The first half was a scruffy affair as both sides struggled to adapt to the conditions underfoot but the Penguins took control of El Long Grassico to seal a deserved win.
The only chances in the opening period were unorthodox. Rob O'Shea skinned his man and got to the by-line and his cross rebounded off David O'Callaghan and. hit the woodwork, before both teams went close with clearances, as Ben White’s almost dropped into the top corner before Jamie McCaull’s wild punt was smartly dealt with by Ivan Brady.
But Seaford hit their stride after half time and opened the scoring through O’Shea, who latched on to Thomas Murphy’s scooped pass and made no mistake.
Balckrock’s equaliser on the hour owed a lot to good fortune, as Gary Galvin’s powerful free kick ricocheted from the bar and bounced in off Oisin Geoghegan.
After that, energised by their substitutes, Seaford dominated . Brady made a superb double save to deny Ryan Scollard’s deflected shot and the follow-up from Matteo la Placa., and then an even better one to parry La Placa’s effort after McCaul teed it up.
The breakthrough, inevitably, came via Scollard, who buried it from the edge of the box after another fine contribution from La Placa.
Scol lashed home another to make it 3-1 before La Placa got the goal his performance merited, dinking over Brady to complete the scoring.
