Barry Lyons
Position: ST
An elegant striker with a deft touch and brilliant composure on the ball, Barry joined the club from UCD in 2000. He was sometimes deployed in central midfield or on the wing, but it was when Ronnie McLoughlin used him in a centre forward role that he really came into his own.
Although not physically imposing by appearance, he always used his body expertly to hold off defenders and create space for himself, and he was known for producing spectacular curling finishes with his right boot.
